...By the Coward Robert Ford

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford

While this movie was not what I expected, it was a good film.

It is an 'arthouse' picture for sure.

If you are looking for a film with a lot of 'action' or you want to see it thinking it's a typical Western - it's not.

There is a lot of dialogue, and massive narration. The film has it's own feel to it, but it was not my type of movie.

I really disliked Casey Affleck's character in this film. I will say that the film got me to looking up the story of Jesse James. Casey Affleck is a dead ringer for the real Robert Ford. Brad Pitt did a great job of portaying the outlaw, but at times I think he overdid the paranoia part of it. It kinded reminded me of his character in '12 Monkeys' (at times).

Anyways - 3 of out 5 stars for me. it just wasn't my cup of tea.
