We had an advance screening of this tonight. Good size crowd, about 250 for it.

This is about as basic of a movie you can get. Its your average physical comedy. I love the plot of the movie though,
SPOILER
Save money to get your stepdad a heart transplant, just so you can kick his ass.
/Spoilers

The only real reason I wanted to see this was because I love Ian McShane and he dosn't disapoint as the Step father.

HotRods going to bring in the teens and the college kids. It'll do good for the first couple of weeks. Then its going to be on DVD.

Another thing this film has going for it is that its short, very short. Its 5 reels and at most an hour and 30 mins long.

2/5

Super lame and stupid movie. This carried the stench of Will Ferrell...and amazingly enough he turned out to be an Executive Producer.

If you like Will Ferrell's crap, go ahead and see this. You will probably be relatively entertained. If you don't like Will Ferrell's crap, at least it isn't as bad as a Will Ferrell movie (or a Linsey Lohan movie!!!)

1.5 out of 5 stars

Judging from the trailers, the image quality looks like crap as well. It looks like they shot this movie on video.

Saw the first few minutes of this in a double feature and I regret giving those up.
