This was actually a lot better than I thought it would be. At first, I thought it would be kinda cheesy or stupid. But it was actually pretty good. I liked it. I will admit that some of the dialogue was kinda cheesy, but that doesn't matter in a horror movie. The only thing that matters is the blood and violence. And this movie sure had a lot of that. This movie was sick and disgusting. For a movie like this, that's a good thing.

It's kinda hard to critique Kane's acting abilities, because he was playing the same character he's been playing in the WWE for the past 8 years. But, Kane does make a pretty convincing villain. The scary part is that I don't think he was acting. Kane is no Jason Voorhees, but he's pretty damn close.

SPOILER ALERT!
My favorite death scene is when Kane shoves that girl's cell phone down her throat and she chokes to death. That was awesome! There were so many times I'd be sitting in a theatre and a guy would be talking behind me on his cell phone. I just wanted to grab his phone and shove it down his throat. They should make that scene the new "Silence is Golden" commercial. If you don't turn your cell phone off, Kane will come after you!

I also like the scene when the black guy (sorry for not being politically correct) runs into that room and sees the safe with all the money. There's a psychopathic killer chasing him and all he cares about is the money. That sounds like something I would do.

One really creepy scene was when that girl was locked in the cage and Kane came over to her and started jacking off right in front of her. Then, they showed flashbacks of when Kane was a kid and he was locked in a cage and he was jacking off while his mom watched. Man, that was sick even for me!

The only complaint I have about this movie is the lack of nudity. All we got was a glimpse of a chick's bare ass. There should've been more gratuitous nudity, especially considering that it was directed by a porn director (yeah, seriously). Oh, well. What'cha gonna do?
END SPOILERS

Overall, I thought it was pretty good. It wasn't as good as the Saw movies, but it was still better than most of the crappy horror movies that are out there. I can't wait for the next two WWE movies, The Marine (starring John Cena), and The Condemned (starring Stone Cold Steve Austin). Don't expect See No Evil to win any oscars, but if you wanna see a pretty decent horror flick, watch See No Evil.

CINEMA: Century 20 at Jordan Creek, West Des Moines, IA
AUDITORIUM: 16
PRESENTATION: 35mm/Dolby Digital/THX
PRESENTATION PROBLEMS: None [Cool]
RATING: One and one half stars (out of four)

WARNING: Spoilers can poke your eyes out

WWE professional wrestler...uh, sports entertainer...Kane (himself a character played by Glen Jacobs, but credited as Kane in the movie), plays Jacob Goodnight. HA HA HA HA! Jacob Goodnight. Who writes this crap?

Eight juvenile delinquents get selected for a three-day coed work-release program. Like most prisoners, they are dressed fashionably and are about as badass as punks in a 21 Jump Street episode.

They are bussed to a spooky old art deco motel with a FABULOUS lobby which is being remodeled into a homeless shelter. They get to clean it up. The top two floors are burned out and off-limits. A little old lady greets the kids and their chaperones. There's some back story about one of the chaperones that's covered too, but it's totally wasted in the film.

From here, you've probably figured out that people are going to start dying, or we're going off in a "Breakfast Club" mode. SPOILER: It's not the latter.

There's lots of blood and guts, and far too little nudity. But I had a good time...better than I had watching Da Vinci. It's one of those "so bad it's fun" type deals.

Attendance was impressive, and of course was all kids who fit the profile of the kids in the movie exactly. Except me, of course. I was there to cover the Kane profile. [evil]

I saw the movie today at AMC Fashion Valley 18 and I thought is was pretty good. The picture quality was excellent as well as sound quality. I probably won't spend the money on buying it on DVD.
