Saw this in Cinema 1 at Cinema Nova in Carlton.
Presentation problems: Don't even get me started... [Frown]

When I saw this on Friday it marked my first time to a commercial cinema since mid-August last year. Yeah I've been staying in the comfort of my home and experiencing films on "DVD". This Cinema is the dump of Melbourne but I really wanted to see this and the other places screening it ain't any better and are also to far to travel.

Anyhow...

Atom Egoyan's mystery drama centers on 2 boys of showbiz, Lanny Morris (Kevin Bacon) and Vince Collins (Colin Firth) who are involved with a annual telethon fundraiser (the duo are very similar to Dean Martin an Jerry Lewis) who come into contact with journalist, Karren O'Connor (Alison Lowman). Who is she and what does she want??

Can't really say much else but this one was certainly refreshing.
Doesn't keep one glued like a Hitchcock would but it's worth seeing.
The best about it for me was the production design and settings/locales. I just immersed my self in every visual (filmed in Panavision) detail.

I look forward to re-visiting this on DVD. At least it will be sharper and brighter this time [Roll Eyes]
