Failure to Launch failed to entertain. Had the movie been 2 hours of the parents trying different ways to drive their 35 year old kid out of the house, it could've been very funny. But no, instead they had to hire a girl to try and trick him out under the impression that they fell in love.

The movie falls flat on many scenes and some of the stuff was clearly designed to be howling comedy...but failed. The ending...heck the whole damn movie just stinks of a dozen Hollywood rewrites.

1.5 out of 5 stars if you happened to be in the bathroom while the naked Terry Bradshaw scene is on screen.

0 out of 5 stars if you see the scene where he not once, or twice, but MULTIPLE TIMES shows off his fat wrinkley bare ass!!! That scene's sheer horror was further magnified through surpressed nightmares regarding the naked Kathy Bates scene in About Schmidt. [Eek!] [puke]

Thank you very much Brad for bringing up that deeply repressed memory of Kathy Bates in About Schmidt. That is by the way the only reason I cannot own that movie!

My wife begged me to go with her to this one. I pawned it off on her mother to do the duty, and they both loved it. They also both loved Miss Congeniality 2, Legally Blonde 2, and many other films of this nature with or without a 2 on it.

What is it with Matt McHonnahay, or however you spell his name. Has he actually been in anything good or have I just missed the boat on this guy?

Ciao

I enjoyed.... very little from this movie besides Matthew. He is one sexy man.

Alrighty, I'll try to review this movie... ummm....ummm.... I saw it today and I already forgot the story... I just noticed that Kathy Bates barely had any lines and that was a major disappointment. Terry wasn't too bad in it, he was actually humorous in some scenes.
