Excellent Mexican film (Spanish with English sub-titles) about the plight of everyday people during the civil war in El Salvador. The film tells the story of how the rural poor caught in crossfire suffer and die just because they happen to be in the way. 12 year old boys are forced to join the army or be shot, unless they join the rebels or flee the country. The film captures well the innocence lost among children under such horrific circumstances.
