Author Topic: White Noise David Stambaugh Film God Posts: 4021 From: Eugene, Oregon Registered: Jan 2002 posted 01-23-2005 06:10 PM                        Today, Cinemark 17, Springfield OR, house #9, DTS. The analog pre-feature stuff didn't sound very good, otherwise things were pretty OK. Attendance maybe about 15. WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT???!!! This movie is AWFUL. It makes no sense. Are you saying you don't believe that the dead transmit on the same frequencies as our televisions??? I just realized I never put up my review on this, but my sentence above should be enough. 1.5 out of 5 stars only because the idea of the movie was interesting, just terribly executed.  |  IP: Logged Mark J. The "video" part of the story was Hollywood taking a little creative license with the idea though. I heard some of the ones that were used in the trailer a few years ago. As far as the movie goes, the scary scenes were little more than cheap "BOO!"s. And it's another example of how Hollywood can take an area of serious study, and sensationalize it to the point where it becomes absurd.  |  IP: Logged
