Once again, the best part of this movie was the Sin City trailer. Jennifer Garner is nice eye candy but even that is not enough to keep you in the auditorium

CINEMA: Century 20 Jordan Creek, West Des Moines, IA
SHOW: 15-Jan-2005, 12:30pm
AUDITORIUM: 13
PRESENTATION: Dolby Digital/THX
PRESENTATION PROBLEMS: I don't think we had surrounds or LFE during the first two trailers...OH! There they are!
RATING: 2 stars

Guy in wheelchair rolls into the auditorium followed by two pre-teen boys who immediately abandon him for better seats. Guy in wheelchair shouts "JORDAN! Did you get any napkins?" Jordan: "No!" End of conversation, and nobody gets any napkins.

RITE AID?!? The best product placement deal they could come up with for "Elektra" was store-branded products from RITE-AID?!?

Our hero is a mixed-up assassin for hire. Wasn't she a billionaire before? Did her money die with her? Is the reason she doesn't want to talk "mutual funds" a sore point?

She's supposed to kill her lovely neighbors with a freakishly huge bow and arrow. This would have been funny if the little girl was eating an apple. Anyway, she befriends them instead and fights a whole bunch of guys who poof into a dash of Curry powder upon being killed, so THEY won't kill them.

I liked "Daredevil". This movie has absolutely nothing to do with Daredevil unless you're looking REALLY closely and REALLY stretching it...Elektra's purse is the color of Daredevil's suit. I THINK that was Elektra's purse...

The movie has all the production values of a syndicated television series shot in Vancouver. I halfway expected Adrian Paul to make a cameo. Still, I didn't mind it. I won't be buying the DVD, but it was better than anything on television this afternoon.

Big pile of crap, seen at the biggest pile of crap theater chain I can think of. [thumbsdown] If the Destinta people ever buy real lenses and clean their projection ports, maybe the audience won't all head for their opthalmologists thinking they've got cataracts. It's really annoying watching film with a contrast ratio of about 3:1.

Ugh, I have no one to blame but myself. I saw the trailer and still went to go see this film. Jennifer Garner is nice to look at, but no one's nice enough to make me want to see that movie again.

...not to mention the ugly brown streak smeared between the two that threatens to infect other films near 'em in the multiplex.

Well, it sucked big donkey rectum. The only thing that kept me occupied was Jennifer Garner and the martial arts part, but man it sucked. Wonderful names for obvious villans...Tattoo, Typhoid, and Stone....DUH!!! [thumbsdown]

Two stars out of ten.

On the upside; does the actress have anywhere to go but up??
