Hard to explain this movie. I loved some of david o russel's previous work(flirting with disaster and three kings). And I am a sucker for Wes Anderson movies which this movie resembles more than movies like 3 Kings.

Having said that, I think this is one of the rare movies where I won't argue with people who say this movie sucked even though I liked it. A lot of bullshit discussion on philosophies, but included in the discussions is an acknowledgement of the bullshit. So really, after all said and done , will you like it? I don't know. I know people who love every Wes ANderson movie and want to see Life Aquatic who didnt like Huckabees.

Safest choice. Wait for it to show up on video and watch it when you are not in a hurry.

I really liked this film. It's viewable as either a deep thoughts, fry your brain story; or as a great character piece. Whether you accept the film's existential views, or not really isn't the issue. Kudos to David Russell for playing with viewers' minds for the cost of a ticket. But the players are undeniably tied to their characters; Hoffman, Schwartzman, and Law, especially. My favorite moment was when Naomi Watts asks Jude Law:
NW: Do you love me?
JL: ...I think so
NW: Do you love me in the bonnet?

...and Law just cringes [Smile] It's such a solid moment.
