Directed by Mike Leigh.
Starring Timothy Spall and Lesley Manville.

Certainly not his best film, but i would say that after seeing it i'm growing to apreciate it alot more. The most common respnse from our australian audience has been that it was too depressing and boring, but i feel to say that would be to miss the point of the film.
The way of life in england is so completely diffrent from life here in australia, i dont believe that the majority of australians would understand the meaning of a hard life, australia certainly is the LUCKY COUNTRY!
This film made me apreciate my mothers decision to emigrate to australia. The choice was BOGNOR REGIS (englands anus) or PERTH, AUSTRALIA...no contest!
I still miss england though, it's in my blood!
