This movie might have been good if it weren't for Michelle Rodriguez' character. She was so self-loathing! It was very annoying. I don't blame Rodriguez. She's a good actress. But the character sucked. Every time she got in the water, I hoped she would drown. It's not that I wished death upon the character. I just didn't want to listen to her whine anymore. I did like the look of this movie, though. The surfing scenes were especially well done.

Ugh, what crap. The only girl that actually can surf, NEVER SURFS! Instead, they have the lead actresses face digitally imposed on some surfer doubles head, which is very, very obvious. The one rewarding part of this movie is during the credits, when you get to see some real surf scenes with kids and adults. The credits are fun to watch, the rest of the movie is not.
