You know how when you eat ice cream too fast you get those headaches which send you into massive amounts of pain for a few seconds? That's what it's like watching HALLOWEEN: RESURRECTION. The only difference is that the pain doesn't go away.

Halloween wasn't as bad as Mike indicated in his review. Of course it is not a four star movie, however it kept me entertained despite the print problems that I encountered mentioned in another post.

Print problems? I thought that the filmmakers intentionally threw the sound out of sync just to break up the monotony a bit. Also, this movie did to HALLOWEEN: H20 what ALIEN 3 did to ALIENS. That's not a good thing.

A funny thing, my dad had mentioned just the other day how most of the Friday the 13th movies have been crap but that they haven't made a bad Holloween Movie (Season of the witch dosn't count). I hadn't even heard of this movie until I saw it on the booking sheets last week.

Well, the jury's still out on the sequels but the original Halloween - John Carpenter's HALLOWEEN - is a bonafide masterpiece if ever there was one. But all you Film-Tech savvy movie types would know that already!

It's very, very worthy of a re-release. It probably won't happen, though. More's the pity, because I was too young to experience it in a theatre.
