I loved this movie. The humor is very smart, and it serves as a great introduction to the Powerpuff Girls for anyone who is not familiar with the show. The animation is obviously simple, but very effective. The sound mix was very aggressive in its use of all 5 channels.

This movie was just a lot of fun. I had a smile on my face the whole time. It's certainly better than this weekend's alternative.

Conversely, as a huge fan of the show I was very disapointed that it didn't carry over the irreverance and toungue in cheek humor that the best episodes of the series have had.

Furthermore, the Dexter's Lab short is horrible! I LOVE Dexter's Lab and this short played more like Ren and Stimpy than Dexter's Lab.

Grade = C

While I love the girls, this movie does not do much in the way of pace because even the 2 year old I went with started running around the theatre bored (there was no one in there). There were some bits of humor like on the show but for the most part it seemed to drag. IE the part where the were playing tag.. ok after 2 minutes of the exact same thing we get the point. It was a good intro to anyone who was patient enough to go through it but the show is so much better and wackier as well.
