the deep end just opened in oz, has this been released in the states?, if so did it do well?. the attendances havent been great in it's first few days here. i enjoyed the film, a real slow boiler, tilda swinton was great as usual, goran was good but i felt that his motives were left unmentioned leaving too many questions .i preferred their first film suture, but i look foward to their next project.

This film was in the states sometime during August or September. It was a good film, but was a bit slow. I did not mind this a whole lot, because it gave you the full picture on what a mother will do for her son, and also the compassion people can have, even in a situation like the one presented in the movie.

It's attendance was down, because it was a limited run film, put out by Fox Search Light, if I remember correctly. The arthouse in town played it for a few weeks. I was surprised when my family-oriented chain played it.
