Attendance: Carmike Century Cinema 8, Decatur, AL 2001/06/01 21:15 Aud. 7 Flat

This was a rather dumb, but quite funny movie. Attendance was good, and the movie drew a lot of laughs from the audience, but not nearly as much as some other comedies I've seen.

A couple of lines that stand out from the movie are something like:

"Am I allowed to invite you inside?"

"Well, it's been a perfect evening and I don't want to ruin it by attacking you."

This got a lot of laughs.

The "You can do it" got applause!

This wasn't the best comedy I've ever seen nor was it the worst. It's right there sort of in the middle, making me wonder if it will be bought by me when it comes out on DVD. (That's the real test.)

Park your brain at the door when entering the auditorium to see this movie and enjoy.

This movie seemed really short to me. When it was ending, I looked at my watch and thought, "That went really fast!" which can be a good thing for this type of comedy, which works better if you don't have a chance to get tired of it before it ends.

When the first five minutes of the movie passed and several of the scenes in the trailer had already been used, I thought, "Uh. Oh." but it was better than I thought it would be. Some of those trailer scenes would have been funnier in the movie had I not seen them in the trailer already.

Obviously, most of the movie goers share the same thoughts. Attendance hasn't been what the industry seemed to have hoped for, or at least in my location.
