My friend and I expected this movie to draw a large crowd, so we got to the theatre 45 minutes early and to our surprise, there were only about 10 people that showed up for this movie.

The movie was definitely enjoyable and I recommend it. It seems oriented toward kids more than anyone else, which may explain why so few people showed up for the 9:30 showing of it. There was one child in the audience. I typically seek out late showings of these kinds of movies to avoid the sound of kids crying.

The movie was not quite as good as I expected it to be. There were things that made us laugh, but not as often as I expected. The story was more about teaching kids not to be so self-centered and instead to do nice things for other people. It's a "teach by an example of how not to be" movie.

For the kids: Emperor's New Groove is the movie to see. It's a good family movie. But for comedy for grown-ups or teens, this week, "Dude, Where's My Car" will likely draw more laughter.
