From what I've seen of this one, John Singleton seems to have done a rip roaring job of re-creating the feel of the early 70's style of film making. Samuel L. Jackson is also great as Samuel L. Jackson and even takes a shot at his character from Pulp Fiction.

The vibe is great from the first frame of the Paramount title when the Shaft theme kicks in...(play that part loud)

I'll enjoy running this one...

God, I love this movie!!

The explosive action, cool acting on all parts, and the totally justified ending prove that John Shaft is still the baddest man in New York.

P.S.-- if you liked this one, see the earlier ones, they're all superfly movies!!
