I've been looking forward to this films since the first trailers came out back at the beginning of the year. I was a big Huey Lewis fan back in his day, and it looked like an interesting premise.
Well, I finally get to see it after much delays(I actually called BV exhibitor relations at one time and was told it would be going straight to video!), and I have to wonder what happened. I did enjoy the film-the music is good, and Paul Giamiatti is always entertaining, but this film was edited with a rusty chainsaw. Word is Disney ordered the elimination of ten minutes of violent scenes, and since Buena Vista does their own video releases, that means no restored version on DVD. Thank you Disney, for taking what was probably a coherent film and making a mess out of it.
