Replacement R6 arrived today with no letter or other material; a phone call to TES indicates that there has been a "content change" to R6 (problem with credits?) and that R6 needs to be changed out for the new one.

Annoyingly, the new R6 does not say "revised" or anything else on the leader to distinguish it from the original one.

FAX – Important Information Regarding Reel #6
Swap for PRECIOUS

Lionsgate has instructed us to send a new reel #6 for the print(s) of PRECIOUS that are currently playing at your theatre.

Your new reel #6 has been shipped via UPS and is scheduled to arrive at your theatre by no later than December 23rd. The box that the new reel #6 will arrive in will have a white sticker on it that says “Attention Manager…Reel 6 of Precious”. The new reel has a green triangle printed between the reel number and title on the leader.

Please switch out the reel as soon as it arrives. Please place the old reel (without the split reel) in the same box that the new reel arrived in. We will be sending UPS in on Monday, December 28th to pick-up the old reel.

If you have any questions about this reel swap, don’t receive your new reel #6 by December 23rd, or will not have the old reel #6 ready for pickup on December 28th, please call our Customer Service Team at 1-800-99FILMS (1-800-993-4567), option 1. They are available to assist you 24-hours a day, 365-days a year.

Thank you for your cooperation on this matter.

I inquired and they had no idea what the change in content was.

Would it have killed them to include the letter with the reel? I have yet to find a projection booth with a fax machine, and only a few with computers.

And how about printing "Reel 6 - Revised" on the leaders, as has been done with pretty much every other print with this sort of issue?

The original screening prints were fine. The problem is in the first part of the credits before the crawl. The credits fade in and out to fast and you can't read them.
