Raging Bull (1980)
7 reels
1.85:1 Flat (1.66:1 safe)
Dolby A Stereo / "Three-track Dolby Stereo" (L,C,R)
Conventional silver-applicated soundtrack.
Black and white, except for the start of R3.
Eastman 5302 acetate (start of R3 is 5386 color)
United Artists / MGM
DFS depot

Original prints were clearly not on 5386, as that didn't exist until the 1990s.

Voiceover "three-track Dolby stereo" on leaders.

The New York Times, Friday, Nov. 14, 1980, page C9:

=== Print-specific info
DFS print #00001 (LA) is in fairly crummy shape, despite being tagged "Premiere."

The beginning section R1 has been replaced with 2383 (2002 datecode), the rest is 1999-datecode acetate 5302 b/w, except for the head of R3 (color) that is 1991 (?) 5386.

This print is extremely brittle and falling apart. It tears easily and has a lot of torn perfs. But the image quality is good. I was afraid to inspect it with a glove for fear of gloves catching on tears and exacerbating them, so it was inspected with bare hands. I would not want to run it from reels smaller than 5" diameter hubs.
