Platter setup information

This information sheet has been compiled to assist you in assembling the print reels for platter projection.
Please be aware that some of the reels either start or end with black being part of the image that is to be projected.

The reel descriptions are as follows...

Reel 1 - start normally after the 2 beep (48 frames is first picture)
Reel 1 - ends with black image (there is sound in this black; count back 47 frames from tail leader to reach the cut point)

Reel 2 - starts normally and can be cut at first frame of picture (48th frame is first picture)
Reel 2 - ends with black image (there is sound in this black; count back 47 frames from tail leader to reach the cut point)

Reel 3 - starts normally and can be cut at first frame of picture (48th frame is first picture)
Reel 3 - ends with black image ( there is sound in this black; count back 47 frames from tail leader to reach the cut point)

Reel 4 - starts normally and can be cut at first frame of picture (48th frame is first picture)
Reel 4 - ends with black image ( there is sound in this black; count back 47 frames from tail leader to reach the cut point)

Reel 5 - starts with black image (there is sound in this black; count 47 frame from the 2 beep to reach first frame of picture)
Reel 5 - ends normally after credit roll

To assist you in splicing reels together for platter projection, cut points are always 47 frames from the head/tail leader.

To assist you in splicing reels together for platter projection, cut points have been placed at the first / last frame of picture in each reel, identifying where the splices are to be made. (there is a diagram on the sheeyt that illusttrates the cut points)

It also says "You are looking for arrows along the edge and a straight line across the film width.

(That is what the notice said for you information)
