During the original release of this film there were 70MM (Blow-up) 6-Track and 35mm 4-Track Stereo Prints available.

And this film was reissued in 1979 in Dolby A Stereo, but was cut to 149 minutes for that re-release by United Artists.

I ran "Fiddler" back when it came out in '72 (and back then it was an a good ol UA release before Cimino destroyed everything and caused Transamerica to sell off UA),no Dolby track was available (who heard of Dolby back then, you saw this on pre-recorded cassettes and 8-tracks..but not for cinema use) with just a good ol' fashioned mono track recorded by Western Electric.

BUT, did see the 70mm version earlier that year. Now, that was an excellent performance!
