Up In Smoke (1978)
aka: Cheech and Chong's Up in Smoke

5 reels
91 minutes
mono
Paramount Pictures
Kodak 2383 film stock

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this film was originally scope 2.35. The print we got was a 1.33 TV print. The cans were clearly labeled "Pan-Scanned" and "Formatted for TV" and the image was clearly not anamorphic. Strangely enough, it was not edited for television (it is an R-rated film). Even stranger, the print was struck in 2002. I told our programmer about this and he told me this was the only print he could get. We screened it in Academy and it looked ok, but it would really look awful if cropped to 1.85.

I just handled print #01002 and it is SCOPE. It's missing a few frames and has a bit of wear at the reel changes but is in like-new condition otherwise.

DFS
box label says "Paramount/DW" and incorrectly states "quad track"
filmstock is Kodak 2383 dated 2006
all reels have extra long head and tail leaders [thumbsup]
written in magic marker on all head leaders: "color comp answer print"
no lab cues, but scribed cues have been added
Some of the leaders have the comment "recut" printed in, some dated Aug. '78
