Spartacus (1960) - 1991 Robert A. Harris restoration

  • Universal
  • 13 reels
  • 35mm SCOPE 2.39:1 (from 70mm preservation negative)
  • Dolby A
  • overture at beginning of reel 1
  • entr'acte at beginning of reel 8
  • exit music following credit fade-out at end of reel 13
Shipped directly from Universal (Fedex Express, not Ground -- expensive).
First 12 reels acetate, last reel polyester. There probably are all-poly, all-acetate, and even more mixed-up prints around, in addition to a few 70mm prints. Some 35mm prints may be in SR, but not the print we got.

And now, the DCP...

I'll need to follow-up with resolution (2K/4K)

2.39 AR (slightly pillar-boxed?)
TRT is 3:16:25

Overture ends 0:04:00
Intermission at 1:47:28
Act 2 Starts at 1:50:07
Original Ending at 3:13:35 ("The End" ftb)
Followed by Restoration Credits
