An interesting note about CinemaScope 55, both "CAROUSEL" and "THE KING & I" the only two that were filmed in the process was never shown in that format anywhere when they were first released. All showings was in 35mm I believe "THE KING & I" was shown in 70mm at several venues including the Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles many years later. I think a showing was also held at the Hollywood Bowl.
