My prints came with an 8 foot roll of black leader to splice at the head of the film since the film starts sort of like Pearl Harbor: no logo, no credits. Opening consists of a black screen with white lettering that says "Based on an actual events."

There was a detailed letter explaining where and how to place this black leader and a word of caution against cutting off any soundtrack at the beginning.

Be careful when placing your lights up cue.
There is some on-screen narration before the credits.
Lights should go up at "Directed by Ridley Scott.

Seeing how they took so much care in how the beginning was handled, it seems odd that they didnt point out this ending as well.

I prefer to have the lights up cue at the start of the scrolling credits after Ridley's dedication to his mum.

And ideally the lights would stay down until the rating tag at the end.

Has a lot of Full length Studio logo animations at the end.

UK prints have a BBFC rationg card at the head of reel 1 so no letter or extra black leader is included.
