I have finally decided to sell off all of the remainder of my film equipment.

I have two XL projectors that I bought from a New York state hospital for the criminally insane about 8 years ago. I personally went to New York, removed the equipment myself, and brought it back to my house. While I was there I spoke with the maintenenace supervisor who was the only one who ever ran these projectors since they were installed. He told me that they installed them and only used them for one show per week on Saturday nights for the patients. They did this for approximately fifteen years so these projectors saw very little use. The projectors sat for about 15-20 years with no use after that. They were originally sold to this hospital and only used there before I bought them.

Since that time, they have been sitting unused in my house waiting for me to install them. That never happened and now I have a second kid on the way. I have never really had the time to work on them and once my first kid was born, all hope of ever reviving them was lost. I also really need the space for my kids to play.

The projectors are in excellent shape. The buyer will get the bases, soundheads, picture heads and magazines. I will include two lens adaptor with each projector and two aperature plates. Xenex II lamphouses are also included. Here is the catch, since these sat for so long, they need to have the oil reservoir area cleaned out since all of the oil dripped out. Some of the roller pads and levers are hard working and need to be cleaned and oiled. They are not rusty, they are just gunked up from old oil. I bought the lamphouses from someone else in Michigan and sold the original Peerless lamphouses that were on them. I have never used the lamphouses so I cannot guarantee their operation, but they're there if you want them. I'm asking $1,500.00 OBO for each complete projector. I will ship one or both of them via freight but prefer to have them picked up to save the hassle. If I have to ship them, the buyer will pay freight and the cost of wood to crate them.

I have one mono solar cell but the other soundhead is missing the solar cell. The original ones were very old and used mirrors. There was also pre-amps in the soundheads that are no longer there. I sold all of this stuff years ago as part of a package with the Simplex tube amp rack system that was in this booth. I had no use for it as it was obsolete.

If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me.

These would be great for anyone wanting a matching pair of projectors for changeover operation or just one for platter operation.
