I'm looking for a rheostat/dimmer. Before they had the fancy electronic dimmers, they used a lever type
rheostat that were fasten to the projection booth's front wall. Basically a variable resistor, the projectionist
would grab the lever and pull down, which would turn down the house lights. I have heard that most of the time
when the new, modern electronic dimmers were/are installed, the old rheostats were not even taken out. So if
you have an old theater or work at one etc., check and see if they still have one of the old mechanical dimmers
laying around. Thanks
