Hello All,

I have inherited a 10 Theatre NEC 1200C projector Theatre. We run GDC, I was SHOCKED that TMS did not have a Scheduler. That said how would someone Send Power ON/OFF commands to the NEC Projector then say 5 Minutes later to the GDC Media Server.

Thank for any thoughts or ideas
Chris

Wouldn't it be easier to make the power-off command part of your shows?

Just curious: Did you literally inherit ownership of this theatre or is it just a figure of speech about taking over management?

Yes, TMS does have a show scheduler... it's always had it. Are your booths equipped with any sort of automation other than the GDC servers?

The GDC can be awoken by a Wake on Lan command and the projector can be sent a Hex string by to a specific TCP port to bring it out of standby. Automations like the Integ Jnior are capable of issuing both.

Thank you Greg! This would be the command string 02h 00h 00h 00h 02h?

I think you're missing a 00h in the middle there but that's correct in principal.

Maybe this will help, although I guess there will be better means to accomplish it in daily work from TMS/scheduler or the GDC itself:

Greg,

Thanks for mentioning the INTEG JNIOR. If any of you have "inherited" a cinema which may include one or more JNIORs you are likely unaware of what that little device can do. I'll just mention that if you have one and have a little time give us a call and find out just what you in fact have. The rest of those here can hold me to the fire but... you can tie us up on the phone and get us to do quite a bit before anyone mentions that maybe we should charge for the service.

Bruce
