Hello,
Does anyone know the type of CMOS batteries needed for a SX-2001 GDC server? Need instructions on replacing them as well. GDC is slow in responding.

Also what software do I need? It was upgraded two years ago. Not sure if it a pay for use software or not.

Thanks

Raffaele

You should call GDC and extend your warranty. Then they provide the batteries to you and will loan you the temporary power unit to keep the board powered while you are replacing the batteries. You CAN NOT replace the batteries on the board without the back up power attachment!! Pulling the batteries without that power adapter attached will immediately cause loss of the certificates stored in memory. Extending your warranty also gives you access to the firmware. Current Firmware is 8.01 Build 280.To see what build you are on go to Control Panel and your current version will be listed there.

The batteries needed are 2 Lithium AAA Batteries. GDC supplies Everready Brand.
