When i playback om my 'non dci' setup with Cineasset/macpro/Blackmagic Ultrastudio 4K i get to black blacks. I am pretty sure that it is the video settings in CA, converting to RGB legal range helps. I have tried both hdmi and 3G. I cannot find anything in the manual about the settings. Any users here?

This gets into strange territory.
I don't know what projector you have, but it should have a way to set colour profiles. What is the BM card outputting? Usually REC709 but it could be some HDR profile? There may be a degamma setting in the projector and I've found the default setting often fails to give decent grayscale.
