Has anyone one seen a 'regular' Barco Alchemy/ICMP with the new HDMI2.0 ports?

Available specs and images appear a bit unclear - some quote 2*HDMI2.0 ports (instead of the previous 2*DP), and an additional HDMI 1.4a port (pre-existing in DP models). However, I have seen pictures with ONLY the two HDMI2.0 ports being present, and no HDMI 1.4a.

We just received a new DP2K-6E with an ICMP - and it still has 2*DisplayPort in addition to the HDMI 1.4a Port. I thought the 2*DP model had been phased out/superseded by the 2'HDMI2.0 model?

However, there was no input file on it for HDMI, only for HDMI_A and HDMI_B. No problem to install it from a clone - but the diagnostics companion in Communicator on this ICMP shows the Dual HDMI 2.0 module being present, not the DisplayPort module that shows up on our older preexisting machine. Also, the DisplayPort tab in diagnostics is greyed out.

So, wondering what is wrong with this ICMP?

The new ICMP with HDMI2.0 has been fully developed and approved; but is currently only available as a standalone unit. We will switch over our production flow of Alchemy projectors (with ICMP built in) later this year (switching over the factory from version A to version B takes a bit longer, a.o. you need to deplete stock).

The change indeed means replacing 2x DP by 2x HDMI2.0. On the new/future version with 2x HDMI2.0 we will have the option to drop the other HDMI1.4 and SDI (smaller need to have it, if the default config already has 2x HDMI2.0): that's the picture/demo unit you probably saw

PS: The input and macro files for HDMI have not been removed from the clone packages. Only the ones for HDMI_A/B have been added.

Thanks Tom - the missing HDMI (1.4a) input file was probably just a flaw.

However - while this ICMP does have the DisplayPort connectors on the front panel, the diagnostics companion in Communicator does show the HDMI2.0 module, the DisplayPort tab is greyed out, and the HDMI tabs shows both HDMI A, B and HDMI?

Maybe you can hope it fails with the correct timing and they'll give you a model B as a replacement. [Smile]

2 x HDMI 2.0 sounds preferable to 2 x DP 1.4.

Even more so 2* HDMI 2.0 + 1*HDMI 1.4a. After the HDMI2.0 version is promoted on Barcos Website for so long, I was hoping to get that model. But HDMI2.0 is not a necessity in this installation, so...
