What has to be changed to get a dss100 to boot as a dsl100?

Probably the special BIOS and even then it will be down two drives so you'd need a suitable RAID card. As I recall, the physical hardware on the DSS100 doesn't support 6 drives.

Converting a DSS200 to a DSL200 has much greater possibilities (change a chip and RAID card and that is about it, I think. The hardware is the same (other than the RAID card).
