Sporadically over the last year or so, we had one DSS/DSP100 unit that would boot fine, but when content was selected, the show player would display the message "Connecting" for a period of time, then check content and licences and be OK--for a bit.

Other times, the content would be playing then pause with "Connecting" on the player, then resume on its own.

Long story short, the resolution was to bypass the network daughter board in the Show Store and connect the network cable from the Show Player directly to the port on the Show Store motherboard.

We have not had the problem since.
