Author Topic: Dolby Dss-200 Won't Boot Marcial Feliciano Ramos Expert Film Handler Posts: 108 From: Puerto Rico Registered: Oct 2003 posted 09-24-2016 01:05 PM                     Hi all, The server starts the booting process but stays on the Dolby Digital Cinema Splash Screen. It says connecting to ... (initializing) but its stuck there for more than 20 minutes. I turn off and tried again and still the same.  |  IP: Logged Leo Enticknap Film God Posts: 7474 From: Loma Linda, CA Registered: Jul 2000 posted 09-24-2016 01:18 PM                        I once had the same problem, which was solved by running the unconfig script as described in this video, and selecting "Revert show manager settings" only - answer "no" to the other three questions. The Show Manager front end came up after a reboot. Note that if you do this, it'll do as it says, e.g. if you've changed the default passwords in Show Manager, they'll go back to default, if you've created any custom cues for serial automation, they'll also have been nuked, etc. etc. Your ingested DCPs and KDMs should still be there, though (as long as you don't answer yes to the "Clear the content?" question while running the script). Please also note that trying this is at your own risk, etc. etc. No responsibility taken if it doesn't work or even makes your situation worse. All I can say is that I was advised to do this by Dolby's phone support tech when one of my DSS200s did the same thing, and it solved the problem.  |  IP: Logged Stephan Shelley Jedi Master Film Handler Posts: 854 From: castro valley, CA, usa Registered: Nov 2014 posted 09-24-2016 01:38 PM                     Also all built up shows (SPLs) and templates will be gone.
