We're getting a lot of complaints about "milky" "fuzzy" "something wrong" with Star Trek. I guess another location in our company is as well. Our three complaints came from an NEC projector, both in 3D and 2D. The one showing 2D from our Barco is getting no complaints though(despite bad convergence and poor focus)

I tend to agree, perhaps just because it's a darker movie people are noticing more?

I saw it in 2D at the local 16 plex on a Christie projector of some flavor. It did look kind of soft. It wasn't the equipment because the trailers were tack sharp.

I cannot comment on 2D but the 3D version has several 3D conversion errors. Nothing terrible but most details have been roughly cut from the background - don't really understand why they keep converting movies.
Besides that I did not notice anything strange.
