Hi all,

I apologise as I think my topic has been posted before but was not able to find it to post a reply in there.

I am creating some DCPs for a small production/distribution company who require their packages to be encrypted. Is there anywhere on the 'net' I can go to download the certs to generate KDMs. Some cinemas have been very helpful and sent their certs direct to me, others (due to money save and cost cutting, especially here in the UK) dont have technical staff who can deal with this request and just send me their serial numbers. I know Doremi/Dolby have FTP/download site to get their certs but is there similar for Sony and other companies.

If anyone can provide me with any information it would be greatly received and much appriciated.

Many Thanks
Jonny

As you pointed out in your post, getting certificates from Dolby/Doremi
is pretty easy online.

I used to be able to get GDC certificates by e-mailing the server serial
number with a request for the certificate info to: cert@gdc-tech.com
but it's been several years since I've needed to do that, so I'm not sure
if that still works. I seem to recall someone once telling me there's a
way to extract the certificate info directly from a SONY system, but I've
never had to do it so I haven't a clue as to how it's done. (And, of course,
you'd need the cooperation of someone at the cinema, which might be
tricky to arrange for the reasons you mentioned in your post)

You can download the certificate from the Barco Alchemy via the web interface.
