We recently upgraded our last screen to DCP, and have an NEC 900 with a GDC SX-3000 imb installed in there. I handle our preshow content, which we run in our other screens through a blu-ray player and eventually out of the NEC 1600C. No problem with those, the tech set up an alternate content macro when installing that runs everything just fine.

With the SX-3000, we can only get it to display alternate content when a livestream hdmi playlist is running. Are we missing a setting or option that would allow the projector to display from hdmi without a playlist running, as our others do?

No you have to use the playlist as the inputs all are part of the GDC IMS on the 900c

You mean, you burn DVDs or BluRays for your preshow? Or do you use a USB disc to play video or image files through it?
