We have a Christie CP4220 with IMB-S2 and a Jnior to deal with automation of lights/curtains/masking.  We have a problem that sometimes cues that have been added to a playlist aren't firing and sometimes they are. We always try to separate cues by a few seconds so it's not trying to fire several cues at the same time, is there a minimum amount of time you should leave between cues?

We tried firing the cues manually via the touch panel and timed how long between pressing Run Macro and the corresponding lights on the Jnior flashing and this afternoon there was between 7 - 9 seconds, this is doing wall & curtain lights and curtains.  After turning projector off & pulling power from Jnior again for 5mins tried briefly again and a couple of cues took 3-4 seconds, quicker but still slow.  If in some cases it's taking as long as 7-9 seconds will it be ignoring other cues attempting to fire during this time?
Also if this is the problem what's likely to be causing this variation in time taken to fire the cues?

Has anyone had similar automation issues with this Christie/Jnior equipment?

Amanda - what 'touch panel' do you mean?

This one:

http://www.integpg.com/jnior/control-panel/

or the projector/IMS Touch-Panel?

The whole system of IMS-JNIOR is software defined, so it's not easy to find out where the clogging occurs. The JNIOR supports different setups as well.
Maybe your network is not setup properly, maybe the IMS software is outdated or buggy, maybe the JNIOR needs a software update as well.

Did you check wether the delayed response occurs only while playing content, or also while the server is idle?

I can only suggest to either call your installer or contact INTEG support directly.

Rick there ( rshulkosky<at>integpg.com ) is very supportive and competent and may advise how to track down this issue.

Did this issue occur right from the start, or only some time after the installation?

We we're firing the cues from the projector's touch panel, the server was idle while we we're firing the cues, but there seemed quite a large delay between asking for the cue and getting it.  Our installer is coming to have a look tomorrow, if we have more trouble we'll give Rick a try, thanks a lot for the contact.

We have had a timing issue with cues from the start noticeable at the start of a show where sometimes the curtains open perfectly on time and sometimes they take a few seconds more to open, but it's become more of a problem recently because of cues getting missed, curtains staying open and lights staying down at the end of a show, but we have recently also changed where we put the cues at the end for ease of making up playlists.
