I get a 140 DLPComm R Fail i get this once a while & sometimes nothing happens but sometimes it will not let me switch macros like between flat & scope or blu ray like last night, when i wanted to go to flat at the drive in.also it will say data lost but the next night it will work fine. even if i do a reboot the same night it will still not let me .any ideas.no error codes are left either in the log. i do have the anamorphic lens w/turrent on this projector.

Have you tried the obvious things, e.g. checking that the boards are seated properly (they can work loose with repeated heat cycling), and possibly swapping out the dual SDI/BNC cables connecting the projector with the server's media block?

Unless this an error that always repeats given specific circumstances (or in other words, if it happens randomly), my guess is that you're either looking at something simple like that, or hardware failure.

Thanks leo for your help, last year i did switch out the cables between server & projector cause i was getting static on the screen ,once and while. now it went back to working again. also it`s missing its test patterns.they were gone from the day i bought it. do you think with the patterns gone , this could cause that 140 comm r to come up.also i will try reseting the boards do you know what board the macros are on. this projector was a lease return from technicolor has about 3000 hrs on it
