So we had a fan stop error last week. I go down to the theater and the fan mounted on the bottom inside, that blows up onto the light engine has died. No big deal I figure, even though it's going to be a bitch to get to. I call NEC and we figure out the part number. NEC gets word that it will be about a week before the part even gets to them and even that isn't definite. Luckily we have a back up BluRay and back up video projector to get by, for now. This is the digital world we live in now. This would never happen with film.

Richard... Look at the manufacturer's P/N on the fan! Then google it and I bet you'll find out it's just an off the shelf Asian made fan available from many electronics suppliers... at a lot cheaper price too! I have already done this with all the fans that are in the current NEC's in anticipation of failures. And they are all available except for the lamphouse blowers which may well be custom.

Thanks Mark. That is so ridiculous. I should have looked there first. I found it in multiple sites. They all look exactly the same. The only difference is the model I have is D07F-24G-19B. The ones I found are D07F-24G-11B. I don't see a difference.
