On screen brightness:

https://www.smpte.org/sites/default/files/20F%20TC%20On%20Screen%20Light%20Measurement%20SG%20Report%20Aug%2020 14%20FINAL%20v2%20.pdf

On auditorium/sound stage acoustics:

https://www.smpte.org/sites/default/files/SMPTE%20TC-25CSS-B%20 CHAIN%20FREQUENCY%20AND%20TEMPORAL%20RESPONSE%20ANALYSIS%20OF%20THEATRES%20AND%20DUBBING%20STAGES%201%20Oct%202014.pdf

On object based audio and B-chain aspects (this also carries a lot of technical detail about the various 3D/immersive audio systems/speaker layouts, both commercial and experimental):

https://www.smpte.org/sites/default/files/SMPTE%20TC-25CSS%20Immersive%20Audio%20Study%20Group%20(IASG)%20Final%20Report .zip

In case these direct links (where a short data survey has to be filled out, which leads you directly to these documents) will break, here is the overview page:

Thanks for the links, BUT- - - - -

There is a little "URL" button at the bottom of the message composing page.

It is your friend.

and using it will save us from having to gag on absurdly long posted links,
such as the 2nd one, which is over 182 characters long.

Gawd! Even a large can of alphabet soup doesn't have that many letters!

I'm just sayin' ......... [Smile]

Hi Jim, tried the button before, but the links then didn't work, maybe because of the spaces/%20 translation process? That's why I added the simpler link to the overview page.

Interesting to see these reports. As one who worked in the standards arena with data communications, its nice to see the same type of discipline applied to another technology.

I used to view equations as problems to be solved but with my experience in standards began to realize that they are really expressions of concept or fact and are more eloquent than the variance of written text.
