I've heard that it is possible to get a VI output from a CP750 in a 7.1 auditorium by running the HI/VI AES pair into one of the unbalanced AES inputs, but can find no documentation on this. Does anyone have any info?

Thanks!

Harold

Yes, that is correct.

Digital 2 becomes a 5th pair. It will decode what is input into that and place the audio on the Aux out. One configures this in the CP750 software, General Tab. Designate that it is a 7.1 theatre and then you have the option of keeping Digital 2 or using it for HI/VI-N

That information is part of the most recent CP750 manual and the solution is a side effect of the 7.1 upgrade/config. If you need it, I can make that manual or excerpt available to you, Harold.
