I don't get it... You got a CP 850 and you don't have access to the software?!

Where did you get that device? Did you steal it out of a Dolby warehouse?

You can get software, manuals, install guides, brochures, and even a wide selection of DCP content from Dolby's Customer Portal. You just need to sign up for an account and wait for them to approve it.

To my knowledge, only dealers/integrators and qualified service companies are granted access to the Dolby site.

Well, yeah. But still, it's not like the thing doesn't come without software installed. And usually, you refer to your integrator for updates, especially for a device which will quite surely still be covered by warranty.

It's something different for, let's say a refurbished CP 650. Still, it's probably not entirely legal to just copy the software from somebody else. Then again, Dolby shouldn't be such a dick about firmware upgrades.

If I remember the arrangement correctly, the CP 850 carries a pretty high price tag, but the Dolby Connect service is supposed to be bundled in with the processor.
