Hello everybody, this is my first post here, I used to work as projectionist and now I am helping at small film festival which starts on Tuesday (:v) I hope it will - but I think we need your help.

We're running NEC NC900C-A with IMS (NC-90MS01) and Dolby CP750 processor.

The thing is: how should I connect NEC's RJ45 with Dolby's DB25? Is the connection below correct? Digits are pin numbers.

IMS(RJ45)---DOLBY(DB25)
1-------------14
2-------------2
3-------------3
4-------------17
5-------------5
6-------------16
7-------------6
8-------------19

If not, please tell me how to do it correctly.
If yes - second issue is Central channel, in CP750 tests it is identified properly (and working) but while playing 51 DCP it almost doesn't work.

The highest priority for me is having L,R,C and SW if possible.

Should I change something in CP's Digital Input 1 "PCM Channel Assignment"? or IMS "Channel Mapping"?

Thanks in advance for your help!

You are my last chance;)

wiring looks correct.

Download a channel test dcp from here:

Thank you so much, i will check it ASAP.

Another question - there is something special I should change in processor or IMS settingg to make it work? Or in "zero" state it should work?

best

It finally works! Something was wrong with RJ45 cable itself. Thanks for the test - it was very useful.

Another case is how to solve IMS/NC90MS01 error: "MaintenanceStatus: The following error has been reported: MaintenanceStatus"

It is in Administration paragraph, there is wrriten Maintenance with big, red dot. Is it sth to worry about or just thing to delete by service staff?

thanks again!

I'm not sure about the NEC IMS, but Doremi servers have had a "Maintenance Required" warning come up in recent software versions. Annual maintenance may be required in some obscure DCI regulation?
On new Doremi installations (or some software upgrades), I have to record an SM log entry saying the maintenance was done: the warning then goes away for a year. There's no server shutdown or anything as far as I know, just the warning.
Possibly NEC has the same thing?

The NEC NC-90MS01 is the OEM branded version of DOREMIs IMS1000, so it's the same with the maintenance timer warning on the original Doremis.

It is safe to ignore it for now. Doremi has a technote how to deal with it, as Dave explains above.
