I have encountered two built-in macro actions on our Doremi DCP-2K4's that I have not succeeded getting anything useful from.

The two actions are:
- Macro Control => Purge Pending Macro
- Playback => Playback Actions => Skip to ShowPlaylist Pack

Both of these actions are poorly described in the manual.
I have tried to use the actions in different scenarios, but to me it seems that they do nothing but generating errors in /doremi/log/drmplaylistd.log such as:

[Mon Mar 17 10:11:09 2014]: [PLAYER]: Executing macro "SkipToChr"
[Mon Mar 17 10:11:09 2014]: [PLAYER]: Macro "SkipToChr" executed with status: PlaybackElementStatusExecutionFailed

and

[Mon Mar 17 09:40:45 2014]: [127.0.0.1]: Received `ExecuteMacroCue("PURGE_PENDING_MACROS")' command: PlaybackElementStatusExecutionFailed.

Has anyone figured out how these actions work and what they are useful for?

Yep, after all the software updates in recent years it is hard to believe the latest available Cinelister manual is 6 years old.

Purge Pending Macro just exits whatever macro is currently executing.

For example if you have a macro running that has a fairly long delay built into it, you can make a trigger that contains the Purge Pending Macro action that will exit out of that long delay and continue the playlist.
