does anyone know how to get full dcp features for private use? I would really love to test some of it out on my new dolby dss100 for my screening room. And also what are people's opinion on the blu ray vs 2k dcp debate is a dcp going to be that much more noticeable in terms of quality on a 16+ foot wide screen?

Pick up the phone and call the distributor(s) of the movie(s) you want to book. Book them as DCPs. It works just as if you were a theatre showing the same titles and not charging admission. They will send you a hard disk and keys. Be prepared to spend $200-500 per booking, plus shipping.

The DCP vs. Blu-Ray quality issue is immaterial to me. DCPs work pretty reliably and Blu-Rays do not.

You should probably try to contact a cinema nearby. They will have the contacts and licensing terms, and if you explain to them what you are after, they may help you - or kick you out ;-)

What projector do you have?

The difference between BluRay and 2k DCP is not so much resolution, but bit-depth and encoding quality.
