Hi all!. I follow this forum from a lot of time, but not registered until today. I need help from all of you, and hope can help me!.

I have created a MultiCPL DCP from the last build of the Software that I use, and before I can use it in production for my clients, need to test it in real enviroment.

The MultiCPL DCP have been tested in Doremi Server and works, but need to make some test more, so If you can download, test it, and tell me something, I gratefully you!.

There is the file:

http://www.timelapses.es/dcp/MULTIDCP01_TST-1_S_ES-XX_ES_51_2K_20130411_TL_OV.rar

Uncompress it and well, I think that you know how to proceed :-)

Thanks in advance!

I guess Brad won't like this direct link in here, but nevertheless, I guess I can test it on a Sony 515/S10 today.

Antonio,

I have Doremi DCP2000 & 2K4 here with Christie projectors. Firmware, security manager and software versions are latest ones.

You will have info tomorrow and on Wednesday you will have info how it was played on Barco Solo G3 (it is 500km from my current position [Smile] )

BTW which kind of software you used to create this multi cpl dcp?

@Carsten
Can you tell me what's the price for sony 515 and do you know is it able to work as rear projection projector?

BR Alexander

I can at least tell that this DCP ingests fine on a Sony SRX-R515/XCT-S10.

I did not have the time to actually play every CPL before our afternoon program started. I made screenshots, can send them around so you can see how it actually shows up on the Sony.

Aleksandar - the list price for the Sony incl. Lens, Server/Storage and UPS is around 45.000€ - but I have seen offers the same incl. pedestal, installation and 3 years warranty already, so direction is 40.000€ for single machines.

Rearprojection - I don't know, at least it doesn't have a clear 'projection orientation' setting in the current GUI. I did not do the geometric setup myself, so I'm not fluent in all setup parameters yet, though I might look into it to find something.

Anyway - given the projection quality, I would think that this is not THE machine for rearprojection, it shines at frontpro due to 4k and the very high contrast.
There is a wide angle lens, but I think DLPs are doing better there.

Hey, thanks again!

Aleksander, I´m using DCPpro, that is using for a very few people but that camplaint with the DCI at 100% as one of the "mentors" of the Software is John Hurts ;-), one of the Fathers of the DCP...

Carsen, very good notices, thanks!. I´m wait for the play and so 100% sure that works!

I have a semi sucess in one Qube server. Recognize all six DCPs, but don´t ingest it. There is a bar progress, and in all of them there is a "0% transient error"...

Hum!

Hi Richard, thanks for your test!. No, nothins special to watch, only testing for ingest and play.

It´s curious that THIS DCP appears to be wrong (as the dcp-inspect says), because no HASH provided in one of the MXF (bug to be fixed), and Doremy and Sony servers can run it :-)

Looking for some other servers!

I can now confirm all clips play fine on the Sony SRX-R515, incl. subtitles (well, at least those subtitles that I saw ;-)

Also the spanish '¡' showed up. At least I think it was intentional ;-)

Sooo Good Carlsten, very good!, thanks!.

The "¡" Character is our "open admiration". In Spanish there is opening and closing symbols for questions and admirations ;-)

¡Muchas gracias! ;-)

Issue's not fixed. dcp_inspect says:

quote:
Error: PKL 17312b46-0495-468f-9d5c-bf8779b90309: Hash element is empty: See PKL file MULTIDCP01_TST-2_S_ES-XX_ES_51_2K_20130411_TL_OV/MULTIDCP01_17312b46-0495-468f-9d5c-bf8779b90309_pkl.xml line 53
Error: PKL 17312b46-0495-468f-9d5c-bf8779b90309: Asset has no associated hash value in metadata: 81096b04-8436-4246-ba69-1f744ccb4df2: MULTIDCP01_TST-2_S_ES-XX_ES_51_2K_20130411_TL_OV/TL-LOGO-MULTICPL_AUDIOV2_81096b04-8436-4246-ba69-1f744ccb4df2_pcm.mxf: application/x-smpte-mxf;asdcpKind=Sound

Also see these:

quote:
Hint: CPL 75c7a7ee-a651-49ef-aa23-22086ed91854: IssueDate "2067-08-29T21:17:25+00:00" in the future: Ahead of now (2013-04-16T11:47:10+02:00) by over 54 years

and

quote:
Info: CPL 153d09cf-45a6-42e8-81ca-a5d96e405781: Composition MULTIDCP01_TST-2_S_ES-XX_ES_51_2K_20130411_TL_OV was issued about 32 years ago

as you have "2067-08-29T21:17:26+00:00" in five compositions and "1981-04-07T04:30:21+00:00" in one.

These IssueDates should not be a problem, most machines don't care. Still, they're probably unintended. And who knows, the Qube is one strict piece of gear.

Fix the PKL/Hash value issue and you should be good on the Qube.
