Hi Guys!

Can someone please help me with this situation. I had a problem with the subtitle on my Barco DP2K-20C n Doremi Showvault server. The problem is when playing the movie the subtitle is too small to see. When play the same movie into other projector same model the subtitle is standard size. Easy for customer to read. If there anyway i can adjust or do a setting to make it bigger.

Hopefully that someone will help me. tqvm in advanced

Welcome to these forum(s), but now you need to re-post this question in the "Digital Cinema Forum" section. This category is related only to "film" handling questions and issues. Over there, you're much more likely to find someone who may be able to answer your question!

If it's the same CPL and same DCP (is it?), then it can maybe be:
- different version of doremi firmware
- doremi is set to not handle the subtitles and the projector is doing it via cinecanvas

Maybe there is something else, if it is, please let me know. From what i know, you cannot make Doremi make subtitles bigger/smaller. The size and position are written into the subtitle xmls.

Presuming a moderator will move this thread...

Are you having the Doremi "burn-in" the subtitles or are you using the CineCanvas built into the projector?

If the latter, then make sure you are on the most current software, Barco 1.9.104 and ICP 4.1.1. There have been numerous fixes relating to subtitles/captions from prior versions.

I had similar situation with Doremi + Christie combo (disappearing/different size) subtitles. Problem is solved with removing "Subtitle engine" from Doremi + Doremi SW/FW update + adding again "Subtitle engine" to device list. Of course you have to disable "projector subtitles" in Device manager and use Doremi's Subtitle engine. Try this one first and if it not works update your Barco SW/FW.
