Hi everybody,

I wonder how SONY's projector handles subtitles ? Is there a Cine Canvas system or the LMT-300 "burns" subtitles in the image like in "Subtitle Engine" mode ?

Yes, the LMT300 does it. TimedText as well als PNG is supported, like on DLP machines.

CineCanvas is the TI projectorside method for DCI compliant subtitles. It doesn't have to be done that way.

Thanks for your answer. I didn't realize that Cinecanvas is only a TI system. So yes, it's normal that SONY's projectors don't use it.
